Hundreds of thousands of princely pleasures are enjoyed, if the True Guru bestows His Glance of Grace.

All things are received if the One is obtained.

One who has such destiny written on his forehead enters the Mansion of the Lord's Presence, through the Guru.

O my mind, focus your consciousness on the One.

Without the One, all entanglements are worthless; emotional attachment to Maya is totally false.

Fruitful is that moment, and fruitful is that time, when one is in love with the True Lord.
dhookh su(n)thaap n lugee jis har kaa naam adhhaar
Suffering and sorrow do not touch those who have the Support of the Name of the Lord.
baah pukarr gur kaadtiaa soee outhariaa paar
Grasping him by the arm, the Guru lifts them up and out, and carries them across to the other side.
jithhai jaae behai maeraa sathiguroo so thhaan suhaavaa raam raajae
Wherever my True Guru goes and sits, that place is beautiful, O Lord King.
gurasikhuuee so thhaan bhaaliaa lai dhhoor mukh laavaa
The Guru's Sikhs seek out that place; they take the dust and apply it to their faces.
mukath bhugath jugath thaeree saevaa jis thoo(n) aap kuraaeihi
Liberation, comfort and proper lifestyle come from serving You; You alone cause us to serve You.
thehaa baiku(n)t(h) jeh keeruthun thaeraa thoo(n) aapae surudhhaa laaeihi
That place is heaven, where the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are sung. You Yourself instill faith into us.
har dhin rain keeruthun gaaeeai
Singing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises day and night,
buhurr n jonee paaeeai
I shall not be consigned to reincarnation again.
keeruthun nirumoluk heeraa
The Kirtan of the Lord's Praise is a priceless diamond.
aanu(n)dh gunee geheeraa
It is the ocean of bliss and virtue.
kulujug mehi keeruthun purudhhaanaa
In this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are most sublime and exalted.

Become Gurmukh, chant and focus your meditation.
jithhai baisan saadhh jun so thhaan suhu(n)dhaa
Beautiful is that place, where the Holy people dwell.
saa dhhuruthee bhee hureeaavulee jithhai maeraa sathigur bait(h)aa aae
That land, where my True Guru comes and sits, becomes green and fertile.
sae ju(n)th bheae hureeaavulae jinee maeraa sathigur dhaekhiaa jaae
Those beings who go and behold my True Guru are rejuvenated.
thhaan suhaavaa pavith hai jithhai su(n)th subhaa
Embellished and immaculate is that place where the Saints gather together.
dtoee this hee no milai jin pooraa guroo lubhaa
He alone finds shelter, who has met the Perfect Guru.
pooraa prubh aaraadhhiaa pooraa jaa kaa naao
I worship and adore the Perfect Lord God. Perfect is His Name.
naanuk pooraa paaeiaa poorae kae gun gaao
O Nanak, I have obtained the Perfect One; I sing the Glorious Praises of the Perfect Lord.
poorae gur kaa sun oupudhaes
Listen to the Teachings of the Perfect Guru;
paarubrehum nikatt kar paekh
see the Supreme Lord God near you.
saas saas simuruhu gobi(n)dh
With each and every breath, meditate in remembrance on the Lord of the Universe,

and the anxiety within your mind shall depart.

Abandon the waves of fleeting desire,

and pray for the dust of the feet of the Saints.

Renounce your selfishness and conceit and offer your prayers.
