Guruji's entry to my life was initiated by one of my colleagues, Hitesh. He told me about Guruji and his great experiences under Guruji's
sharan, but somehow I was not able to go to Him. One reason was that though I am religious and believe in God, I had no faith in saints,
babas and gurus. Moreover, I was busy and tended to procrastinate going to Guruji's.
One evening I was watching a documentary on the Kailash Mansarovar
yatra and began chanting Om Namah Shivay. The very next day Hitesh again asked me to come to the mandir. It turned out to be the day I was destined to have Guruji's
darshan. I was able to make it to the Chotte Mandir in Empire Estate. Once there, I could sense a deep feeling of peace. Guruji's darshan boosted my inner confidence and I was more than delighted to get that peace which we keep searching for our entire life.
Guruji's darshan marked a new beginning in my life, and I started going to Him whenever I was able to make it. I would feel a great urge to reach Guruji's place as early as possible. The environment at Guruji's mandir was remarkable and one that I always cherished: the entire
sangat treated you with the love and affection bestowed only on family members; and the sangat shared its amazing experiences. I wondered - many times - how amazing it was that almost everyone in Guruji's huge sangat had something special to share, some miracle to relate, some blessings to cherish!
After six months I got transferred to Chandigarh from Delhi, and the visits dried up. I could no longer be present at the
sangats. Guruji was in Delhi and I was in Chandigarh, but I could feel Guruji's presence and His protection and care always. Today, as I write down this experience, it has been more than two years since my last visit to Guruji's mandir, but I feel and find that Guruji is with me always.
Guruji's
mahasamadhi was shattering, but His presence is beyond physical barriers. I continue to feel Guruji's protection even after the mahasamadhi.
Guruji proved it beyond doubt one evening. I was speaking over the phone with my fiancee, Preeti, and could smell Guruji's fragrance. Preeti, who till then did not know of Guruji, told me that she was also getting a fragrance without any apparent source around her. It continued for more than 15 minutes. I used the opportunity to tell her about Guruji. She was amazed at how Guruji could make His presence felt simultaneously on both sides of the phone line while the two of us were separated by thousands of miles.
May Guruji keep us under His sharan always.
Om Namah Shivay Guruji Sada Sahay.
