A few weeks ago, I woke up in the morning with a terrible dream. I was driving with my daughter on a highway when our car had a high-speed collision and toppled over. My daughter injured her head in the dream. I saw my husband and myself discussing her case with various doctors.
When I woke up in the morning, my heart was pounding. I couldn't even bring myself to tell this to anyone. I turned to Guruji, who I firmly believe in, and prayed: If this accident was destined, please keep my daughter out of the car.
I drove my daughter to school, remembering Guruji the whole time, and dropped her off. My errands were next. As I reached my first destination, my car was hit by another car in the parking lot. I got off with no injuries; the car's bumper alone was damaged. The man driving the car walked out, apologized and agreed to pay for the damage there and then.
Till then, I had not connected the dots. I was obviously a little upset about the accident. Later in the day, I got a call from my daughter's school. She had bumped her head in the bathroom with the paper-towel dispenser. She hadn't had a scratch, but the teacher wanted me to know.
It was then that I connected the dream to the happenings of the day. I bowed to Guruji and told him I could never thank him enough for what he saved us from. Guruji immediately said: "
Kasht toh katna hi tha; le kat diya." (The suffering had to be dealt with; I have done that.) Jai Guruji!
