Two years ago, in late 2023, I connected with Guruji after visiting Bade Mandir a few times while I was staying in NCR. I don't live there; I visit my family in India from the US once or twice a year. During the last such trip, in November 2024, I was a bit anxious about clearing customs in India, given that I was travelling solo with quite a lot of luggage–two fully packed roller bags and a heavy backpack.
Before leaving the US, I prayed to Guruji for a smooth, trouble-free journey from door to door, and asked for His presence by my side throughout. What unfolded upon landing at Delhi airport was unexpected–something I had never experienced in 35 years of flying back and forth.
As soon as the flight crew opened the aircraft door attached to the jetway, I saw an airline staffer standing ahead on the bridge, holding a placard with my name. This was unusual. I wasn't expecting to be received at the airport arrivals area–which is typically where people are met with–let alone at disembarkation.
Curious, I approached the staffer and queried his presence. He replied that the airline had instructed him to meet me at that very spot. When I asked why, he simply said, "These were my instructions." At that moment, I felt this had to be Guruji's divine intervention!
We began walking together towards immigration. It was quite a long distance, and the staffer even offered to carry my backpack, but I chose to bear it myself. When we arrived at the immigration area, the counter I was assigned to had a long queue. Without hesitation, the staffer escorted me to a different counter, where I was the only one in line. The immigration officer asked why I hadn't joined the main queue, to which the gentleman gave some satisfactory explanation. Within two minutes, I was through immigration, which otherwise would have been prolonged.
With Guruji's blessings, my bags were among the first few pieces of luggage to arrive on the carousel. These were promptly placed on a cart and wheeled all the way to the pre-paid taxi stand. As we walked together, I silently thanked Guruji for what felt like VIP treatment! After helping me load my bags onto the taxi, my uniformed answer to a prayer graciously accepted a tip and went on his way.
To this day, I have no idea why the airline accorded me such exceptional treatment. I hardly ever fly with that airline and am not familiar with any airport personnel. Yet I was the only passenger on that flight to receive it. There's no other explanation than Guruji. His love knows no limits nor is it, in its overwhelming abundance, aware of fine distinctions between needs and wants, emergencies and casual challenges. He answered my prayers and assuaged my anxiety, ensuring I reached home with ease and complete comfort.
