Guruji saves me from coming under a train

On 12 April 2023, I attended an event that our bank had organized in Ranchi. The following day, I was due to attend a satsang in Patna organized on the occasion of Baisakhi. Patna is where I live and I had booked my seat on a train, number 18626, that left early at 6.20 the next morning. It would reach Ranchi, more than 325 km away, by 4.30 pm.

At night in my hotel room, I set the alarm for 5 am. When the alarm rang, I switched it off and slept on. I had a vision of Guruji, where He explicitly told me: "Ab satsang mein nahin jana hain." (Don't proceed for the satsang.) But in my vision I saw myself reaching the satsang at 8 in the night. When I woke up, it was already six.

I checked out hastily and by the time I reached the train station, only two minutes were left for my train to depart. I was at the overbridge over the tracks when I saw a train moving out. It was my train; its number read 18626.

I ran to board the moving train, but slipped on the platform. Instantly, someone jerked me away from the wheels of the train. I realized that it was none other than Guruji Himself who had saved me. Yet, such was my keenness to attend the satsang, that I got up, ran and managed to board the moving train. The coach was empty but for one passenger. I asked him if the train's destination was Patna. He rebuked me, saying that I could have lost my life for boarding the wrong train. The train, he informed me, was going further ahead to Hatia, in the direction opposite to Patna.

It was then I realized that the train's number was 18616. I had misread it from the overbridge.

I reached Hatia and decided to take a bus to Patna, but learnt that I could get one only from Ranchi. I took an auto to Ranchi and boarded the bus. I kept my bag on the seat and went to get fresh, forgetting that my wallet and mobile were in the bag. When I returned, a traveller asked me if the bag was mine. I said yes and he said he had sat by it to ensure the safety of my belongings. Upon reflection, it was clear that it was none other than Guruji Himself.

During the bus journey, I phoned my wife and told her how I had escaped certain death. But I did not tell her about Guruji's darshan because I believe such visions are intended for those who receive them. In fact, I told my wife not to talk about the incident at all during the Baisakhi satsang. I had to change my mind later.

At the satsang my wife heard a devotee describe how Guruji had saved her husband from coming under a train after he had fallen on a station platform. My wife heard Guruji tell her: "Tu bhi shukrana to kar de." (You should also express your gratitude.) She, therefore, narrated my satsang.

My wife called me and told me about the satsangs over the phone while I was still en route to the venue. When I reached the satsang assembly, it was exactly 8 at night–as I had seen in my dream.

The satsang my wife heard made me realize that Guruji had confirmed that it was none other than He who had pulled me away from the train at the Ranchi station. So I told her about the part I had left out: Guruji's vision and His command that I do not travel for the satsang.

All devotees are lucky to have such a Guru. Only God can do what Guruji has done, and that is why there is none greater than Guruji.
