Guruji saves girl from death, heals her kin

In May this year, I came to know that my brother-in-law's niece was suffering from fever, cough and breathing problems. She had been admitted to a hospital in Dhakuria, in South Kolkata, and her condition was extremely critical. Her oxygen level had plunged to 35%. (The normal is around 95%.) She was put on a ventilator, and hung to life by a thread.

She tested positive for Covid-19 and showed no signs of recovery. Doctors put her on a machine that pumps blood from outside the body to a heart-lung machine, which sends oxygen-filled blood back to the tissues. This ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) machine was a last try. It did not help matters. Doctors lost hope and prepared family members for the worst. To add to the trauma, the patient's mother and brother also tested positive for Covid-19.

It was more than a week after the girl had been put on ECMO, on the 23rd of May, when I spoke to my brother-in-law at night. I asked him if Guruji's swaroop could be put by her bedside. He readily agreed and two days later I sent the swaroop to them. A black-and-white printout was taken and the swaroop kept near the patient.

Almost promptly, recovery began!

On the 27th, doctors announced that the patient was responding to their treatment. Over the next three days, the ECMO machine and the food pipes were removed. On 3rd June, the ventilator was done away with. Then the discharge date was given as the morning of the 8th, with doctors acknowledging that a miracle had saved her life.

Remarkably, the girl's brother and mother also recovered and are in good health. Guruji saved an entire family. Many thanks to Him. Jai Guruji!
