Guruji grants newlywed residence in Canada

Nitika Sachdeva, September 2023
I applied for my Canadian permanent residency in 2019 and soon received an invitation. I submitted my documents in June 2019 and was expecting a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) by end of that year. Huge backlogs in the immigration system meant my application was in a long queue. Covid struck in 2020, and my file got stuck. I reached out to Canadian immigration for updates, but did not receive any.

Canadian policy asks for immigrants to undertake a medical exam. I completed my first medical exam in 2020. A year later, I got married. My husband was already living in Canada and I went for another immigrant medical exam. I was hopeful of being granted permanent residence. But documents submitted for immigration needed to be resubmitted and the medical exam had to be taken yet again.

This was the third time and I did not see any hope. At that point, my husband and family went to Guruji Maharaj's satsang for the first time and prayed that I receive my PR soon. A few days after they had begun going to satsangs, I received an email to submit my passport. I had got my COPR.
