Guruji takes me out of debt trap

Ranjan Chowdhury, March 2024
Two years after Covid struck in March 2020, I lost my job in the small company where I had worked for several years. My salary was low and since I had crossed 65 years of age, there were hardly any good offers coming my way. I struggled to earn a living. On top of that, I had indiscreetly made some unwise investments, gullibly acting on the advice of fraudsters. These had cost me–to the tune of several lakhs and I was riddled with debt.

I worried constantly about how to pay off my debts. Not willing to share my problems with family members worsened the situation. A few school and college friends knew about my travails, since I had borrowed money from them. The stress took a toll on my health, and in four months, I lost four kilos of weight.

On Christmas 2022, a college friend, whom I had not been in touch with for over four decades, called me up. He had come to know about my circumstances through common friends. He spoke about Guruji, with whom he had been associated for the past three years. He told me that Guruji took care of ninety percent of our karmas; we had to work off the remaining ten percent. My friend connected me with a devotee in my locality. Thanks to him, I was not only made welcome to a wonderful family of Guruji's sangat, but also became a regular in all satsangs.

Around this time, my son came down to attend a family wedding. I told him about my debt. He was upset and exchanged words with me. He asked me to list my liabilities and assured me that all debts would be cleared within two months. All this happened in accordance with our loving, caring, and protective Guruji. My gratitude towards Guruji and my son can never ever be forgotten. Moreover, the fraudsters stopped disturbing me with their repeated calls.

Never doubt or question Guruji's powers. He is our protector, parent, friend, philosopher, and guide. He is forever guiding us through messages and constantly thinking of our welfare. My continuing thanks to Guruji for all the kindness and care He bestows on us. May He forgive the errors we make in our daily lives.
