My journey with Guruji Maharaj began after I had just completed my first year of undergraduate studies. I had come to Gurgaon on vacation from my Bangalore college. I was due to go back when my mom told me to go along with her to a
satsang in Delhi. The satsang venue had been blessed with the appearance of honey (
shahad varsha) on Lord Shiva's figurine. I immediately agreed.
At the satsang, I felt pain in my feet as I had been sitting down for some time. A few of mom's colleague had also come with us to the satsang; one of these ladies gave me some sitting space and asked me to relax. The next thing I felt was a flow of positive energy—I had tears in my eyes. Seeing me, my mother too began to cry. My mom asked me to look towards Guruji. I folded my hands before Him, feeling happy in my heart. I had gone to a satsang where singer Siddharth Mohan had performed, so I thanked Guruji by saying the word
shukrana (thank you). Right away, a shukrana
shabad began playing.
I talked to Guruji about a problem I had. I didn't know how I would survive in Bangalore, I said to him mentally, and requested Him to give me something as a blessing. My prayer was quickly acknowledged: At the conclusion of the satsang, Guruji's locket
swaroop was distributed and I got one. A devotee said she would arrange for the number of a Bangalore
sangat to be given to me, so I could get in contact with the sangat there. My mother refused saying if Guruji had to call me, He would do so Himself. I thought this strange. Surprisingly, the next day my mother was on Facebook when she found contact details of a Guruji devotee in Bangalore.
After finishing college, I got a job in a company, but I faced an uphill battle. I had no idea of how my future would pan out and where my life was headed. I was really struggling and applied for various jobs. A friend asked me to interview with a highly regarded company. I talked to that firm's HR and felt it was the best opportunity I could get. I was very happy. I got to the final round of the company's selection process, but the person supposed to take my interview did not call me. After some time I got an email saying I had been rejected.
I began reapplying for jobs online. After some time, I looked at Guruji's
mantra jaap machine, which a devotee had given me. I took my frustration before Guruji, saying that I was unable to figure out what plan He had for me. I had hardly finished my mental conversation when my phone rang. I picked it up and it was the company HR telling me that their rejection letter had been sent by mistake! Soon the company conducted my final interview and I was selected. I am currently working at the same job—only because of Guru Maharaj's
kripa.
I can't thank Guruji enough for changing my whole life by taking me into His
sharan. Guruji has been there to help me during my worst times. I would have been broken in life had He not taken me in His affectionate embrace. As the line of the song has it: "
Assi kakhaa wangu rulde si tu chukk seene naal laaya ae."
